Gazprom Neft completes modernization of AR deep conversion complex.

The Russian firm has announced that it has completed a RUB 6B ($80MM) modernization project on the atmospheric resid (AR) deep conversion complex at its 286.2K-b/d Omsk refinery. The project included the installation of two new reactors in the hydrotreatment part of the complex and replacement of internals within the catalytic cracking unit. Gazprom Neft said the modernization project will allow the capacity of the catalytic cracking unit at Omsk to be expanded by 15% to 2.4MM mt/y (48.2K b/d). (Dec 28)
